There are many types of Communicators, as given below. Each type has some good or bad to it.  Capitalize on positive aspects of each type. But, more importantly which is your presominant style of communication? Which category do you belong to?

1. Are you a secret agent?

Positive Aspects:     Reliable, Discreet, Trustworthy

Negative Aspects: Staff Confusion, Breeds Culture of Suspicion, Can Start Rumors.

2. Are you a double agent?

Positive Aspects:    Useful Ally in Short Term.

Negative Aspects: Can Never be Trusted, Becomes Dispensable.

3. Are You a Gossip Columnist?

Positive Aspects:     Has many friends. Knows all scandals

Negative Aspects:  Lacks credibility. Not trusted.

4. Are You a Dictator?

Positive Aspects:    Extremely clear about direction & focus

Negative Aspects: Builds resentment as others think that their views are not being considered.

5. Are You a Kitchen Sink?

Positive Aspects:    Can’t be accused of not keeping every one informed.

Negative Aspects:  Bores people, no focus, and wastes lot of time.

6. Are You a Mouse?

Positive Aspects:    Knows what is going on everywhere.

Negative Aspects:  Lacks self confidence, is never trusted.
